Hey there! My name is Alexandra, and I am a Photographer + Senior Photo Editor here in Boston, Massachusetts. A few things about me: I love an extra dirty martini with queen olives, dark roast iced coffee all year long and all the spicy tuna rolls I can get!

 

Growing up, I always had to have a camera with me wherever I went. I started shooting around 2001 with a hand-me-down 35mm point-and-shoot camera. That's where it all began... moved on to APS for a brief moment, purchased my first DSLR in high school with my own hard-earned money, medium + large format in college, then went full frame! Full frame is premier! So clear, so crisp! As much as I love digital photography, film will always have a special place in my heart. I love the raw, unedited emotion you can feel with film!

Currently, I work full-time for an omni-channel specialty retailer of women's clothing as a Digital Asset Supervisor + Senior Photo Editor. I absolutely love it! It’s the perfect combination of my passion for fashion AND photography. I've worked as a freelance photographer and photo editor for many years, specifically for MGEMI, a luxury Italian footwear brand, Yelp Elites, Fenway Park and the NEAQ in Boston, just to name a few. I have photographed various sporting events and concerts, the Red Sox World Series, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z World Tour, and special events including weddings, bar mitzvahs, city boat cruises and proms. Recently, I've been focusing on maternity, engagements, family sessions, and smaller intimate weddings.

Over the years, I've developed a sweet spot for photographing the continuously changing seasons here in New England.  My work is often influenced by what is happening around me, colorful leaves falling during a chilly walk-through at Boston Common, a portrait session in the sunflower field beaming during golden hour in Newburyport, white snow glistening on a distressed wooden barn in Concord, it’s all too perfect not to capture.

I find inspiration in the everyday. Naturally curious about others, I am so mesmerized by relationships of all types. With photography, I can visually create the experiences I feel.  I love shooting engagement sessions, maternity, and family portraits. Weddings are so special, too! Lately, I have found so much joy in documenting elopements.

Capturing moments as they naturally occur and storytelling through my imagery has always been something that kept me grounded, more importantly, fulfilled.
